Job Description

Talis Group’s client is a well-established medical practice located in Louisville. This employer is seeking a part-time, Medical Front Desk Receptionist . This position will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while efficiently managing phone calls and scheduling appointments. Preferred candidate is tech savvy and will have experience with medical terminology, medical billing, and have outstanding customer service & organizational skills.

Highlighted Duties:

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere at the front desk.
• Answer incoming calls, address patient inquiries, and provide information about services.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate patient flow.
• Verify patient information, insurance details, and medical history accurately.
• Process patient paperwork, including registration forms and insurance documentation.
• Handle administrative tasks, such as sorting daily mail, filing, data entry, and maintaining a clean, organized reception area.
• Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and/or other healthcare professionals.
• Assist with billing and insurance-related inquiries as needed.

Highlighted Requirements:

• Previous experience as a receptionist in a medical setting or related healthcare field.
• Experience with medical terminology and an understanding of basic healthcare processes.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be tech savvy and have experience using scheduling software and general office applications.
• Must be able to multi-task with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High level of professionalism and empathy when dealing with patients.
• Familiarity with insurance verification and billing process required.
