The Fountain Group are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Scientist, Food Product Development for a prominent food and beverage client of ours. This position is in Frisco, TX . Details for the position are as follows: Job Description: Pay: 35.00-39.00/hr. Length of Assignment: 1 year contract to start with potential for extension or conversion. Job Must be able to work a hybrid schedule of 4 days in office/1 remote; may be 5 days in the office when projects are busy. MUST HAVE BS or MS in Food Science or Chemical Engineering with food product development experience. We are looking at someone who has 2 to 5 years of work experience. As a part of the ingredient research team, gathers information on new and Client ingredients, studies ingredient interactions and functionalities. Conducts bench-top experiments, formula calculations, and develops prototypes for product tastings and sensory testing across a variety of KDP brands and products. Interprets test results, writes technical reports, and effectively communicates information within the organization. Fully understands R&D functions and project management process to lead projects. Partners with various functions of R&D (Sensory, Nutrition, Regulatory, Flavor Technology, Chemistry, Process Engineering, and Technical Services).
